Мета: Активізувати лексичний матеріал за темою уроку. Практикувати учнів в аудіюванні. Продовжувати формувати навики усного мовлення. Розвивати комунікативні здібності учнів. Виховувати правила етикету, манери поведінки за столом. Виховувати прагнення до самостійності, відповідальність за виконання дорученої справи. Розвивати творчі здібності учнів.
Обладнання: підручник, робочий зошит, картки з лексичним матеріалом, скатертина, посуд, магнітофон.
Хід уроку
I. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення. Привітання й повідомлення теми та мети уроку. Greeting and aim.
- Good-morning, dear pupils! I am your new English teacher. Let me introduce myself. My name is Ivetta Robertivna. I am very glad to be acquainted with you. I can see your names on the cards. So, let’s start our work.
Today, we have an unusual lesson. We are going to speak about table manners. We’ll start discussing it right now. Do you know anything about good and bad manners? What traditions do you have in your own family? Do you think you are a polite person? I want to know your opinions.
The aim of our lesson is to teach you how to behave in modern society in order to look like a well-brought person.

II. Основна частина уроку
1. З метою ознайомлення учнів з новою лексикою я пропоную гру. Треба повторити якомога більше слів, пов’язаних з темою (ланцюжок: один починає, інший продовжує). Використовуємо картки з малюнками.

Interesting facts

Table manners are very different in different countries. For example, in Britain, you mustn’t lift your soup plate to your mouth. But in Japan it is a traditional way of drinking the soup.

In Britain people don’t put their hands or elbows on the table at all during a meal. But in Mexico guests keep their hands on the table. In Arab countries we really must be attentive about what we do with our hands. You see, in Arab countries you mustn’t eat with your left hand. This is very-very impolite. So what should we do if we visit another country? Well. You needn’t worry. Look at your host and hostess and try and do as they do.

Remember: good manners are important and make meals more enjoyable. You will be proud if you learn these rules at home. Then when you go out to eat, they will be habit.
