Speaking club? Essential? I have always been asking myself this question. It involves much time and effort, efforts and encouragement. Is it worth conducting? By all means, yes!
Having conducting clubs for many years, with different volunteers, I may say it is great experience both for teachers and students. Let’s consider the pros of speaking club.
First: you meet new people, who may become your new online friends.
Second : you practice speaking skills, boost your knowledge, train your memory.
Third: develop your critical thinking and creativity.
Forth: you train your IT skills preparing to online meetings.
We should also mention the intercultural aspect. We get to know much about living in different countries, their culture, traditions, economic development, religion.
So, if you want to master language perfectly, speaking clubs is a good chance to boost your knowledge.
