As fair art thou, my bonie lass,
So deep in luve am I,
And I will love thee still, my Dear,
Till a’the seas gang dry.-

Till a’the seas gang dry, my Dear,
And the rocks melt wi’the sun,
I will love thee still, my Dear,
While the sands o’life shall run.-

What popular English writers do you know?

We are going to listen to the poetry again. The poem by George Byron

When I dream that you love me, you’ll surely forgive
Extend not your anger to sleep
For in visions alone your affection can live,-
I rise, and it leaves me to weep

Then, Morpheus! Envelope my faculties fast,
Shed o’er me your languor be nign
Shoud the dream of to- night but recemble the last,
What rapture celestial is mine!

Ah, from not, sweet lady, unbed your soft brow,
Nor deem me too happy in this
If I sin in my dreamtatone for it now
Thus doom’d but to gaze upon bliss.

YI Logical Saying on the Topic
T. Now our next round. You’ll choose a card with a name of a writer.
Tell us about this writer. ( pupils work in groups)

Listen to the poem “A Chopin Waltz”

A Chohin waltz… Who hasn’t played one once?
And who not listened? Can there be lips
That never parted in a whimsical smile
Or erge that not a spark lit for a moment
In half regret, half tenderly from love
On hearing melodies a bit coquettish,
as sad as twilight-close of golden day,
Or burning as a kiss that seems unending.

YII Now, our next competitions “Wordsquare”
In this wordsquare there are surnames of the English speaking writers.

The poem by Robert Frost
Some say the word will end in fire
Some say in ice
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire
But if it hat to perish twice
I thin I know enough of hate
I say that for destruction ice
It also great
And would suffice.
