Тема: Mass Media.
Мета. Створити умови для формування предметних компетенцій та базових компетентностей; повторити та закріпити вивчені ЛО до теми, ознайомити з новими лексичними одиницями, навчити вживати та розрізняти їх у мовленні , граматичною темою «Непрямі запитання» та навчити будувати запитання у непрямій мові на практиці, формувати загально-навчальні вміння: самостійно працювати з навчальним матеріалом; розвивати пізнавальну компетентність, інформаційну компетентність засобами впровадження інформаційних технологій навчання вміння логічно висловлювати думки, сприяти розвитку комунікативної компетенції учнів, розвивати навички роботи в групах, контролю та самоконтролю, формувати навички усного монологічного мовлення ; виховувати взаємоповагу та вміння працювати в групах, вміння бачити негативне та позитивне у засобах масової інформації .

Тип уроку: комбінований

І. Привітання
T: Good morning, pupils. I’m glad to see you. How are you?

ІІ. Організаційний момент. Підготовка аудиторії до заняття. Бесіда з черговим
T: Who is on duty today?
P: I’m am on duty today.
T: Who is absent?

P: Today is the twenty first of March.
T: O’K. Thank you. Write down, please, today's day and date on the blackboard. And now let’s talk about today’s weather. What season is now?

T: Mass media takes the largest part of our daily life. We cannot imagine our life without TV, radio, Internet, magazines and newspapers. They are a source of information, education and entertainment. That is why we are continue to talk about mass media. Also you know that without grammar you won’t understand any English programs, sons, films or some information. For this reason we study such material.
ІV. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.
T: So today we’ll discuss the theme “Mass Media”. (1 слайд)
Your aim is to get new information about mass media, to learn new words and expressions, to discuss the problem at the lesson, to express your own opinion, to read the text, to practice grammar material “Indirect speech. Indirect questions.” (Read the aims and try to understand them.)
V. Актуалізація знань, умінь та навичок учнів. Контроль домашнього завдання
Інтерактивна вправа «Мозговий штурм».
T: Your home task was to study new words to the topic. Name as much words and word–combinations as possible which are connected with TV, Internet ,newspapers.(For ex: magazine)

T: And now open your exercise–books and write down today’s day and date.(2 слайд)
a) Your task is to choose and classify nouns and verbs which are closely connected with “Mass Media”. The first variant you have to choose nouns and the second one – the verbs. Did you understand what to do? Start working, please.
b) Ok, have you done? The first variant read your nouns. ….. please. Thank you ….. , that’s enough. …….. please continue.
The second variant read the verbs please. ……

T: And now you will read and translate the text.
1) Підготовка до читання. Презентація нової лексики. (3 слайд)
a) T: But first, look at the board. Listen and repeat after me these words.
b) T: Now read the text in chain and translate.

P: Це дослівне відтворення мовлення особи, про яку розповідають.
T: Read the examples of direct speech ……. and translate.

P: Передає зміст сказаного або написаного, але не словами автора.
T: Read the examples of indirect speech ……. and translate.

T: Look at the screen and rewrite the sentences from direct into indirect speech. Read your sentences.( 7 слайд)
T: Питальні речення відтворені непрямою мовою називаються непрямими запитаннями (8 слайд)
(9 слайд)Непрямі запитання, на відміну від прямих, мають такий самий порядок слів, як і стверджувальні речення. В кінці непрямого запитання ставимо крапку. Допоміжні дієслова do, does, did не вживаються. Для введення непрямих запитань вживаються дієслова ask, wonder, а також вираз want to know.
(10 слайд) При відтворенні непрямою мовою загальних запитань вживають
сполучники if ; whether .
При відтворенні непрямою мовою спеціальних запитань
вживають питальні слова when, what, why, which, how, where: Write down these question words and conjunctions “if” and “whether” in your copybook.
