Good morning, students! Today we are going to talk about our beautiful country — Ukraine. We will discuss its symbols, geographical position, and what makes us proud to be Ukrainians.

Look at the word "UKRAINE" on the board. What associations do you have?

II. Main Part (Основна частина)
1. Vocabulary Revision
Match the words with their definitions:
Independence — a state of being free from outside control.
Heritage — features belonging to the culture of a particular society, such as traditions, languages, or buildings.
Symbol — a sign, shape, or object that is used to represent something else.
Hospitality — the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests.

Read the text about Ukraine and fill in the missing facts.
Ukraine is the largest country located entirely in Europe. It gained its independence in 1991. The capital is Kyiv, which is situated on the banks of the Dnipro River. Ukraine is famous for its rich soil, known as "chernozem", and its diverse nature from the Carpathian Mountains to the Black Sea.
3. Grammar Focus: The Passive Voice
Let's remember how we describe facts using Passive Voice:

Task: Rewrite the sentences:
