Практические задачи: организовать тренировку учеников в употреблении лексико-грамматического материала на уровне фразы и предложения, выявить уровень знаний учеников по темам «Животные», «Приветствие», «Увлечения», «Времена года», «Отдых».

Образовательные задачи: расширять филологический кругозор учеников: учить наблюдать за лексико-грамматическими явлениями английского языка, их отличиями от родного языка; знакомить младших школьников с миром их англоязычных ровесников, с традициями празднования Нового Года и Рождества за границей.

Развивающие задачи: развивать коммуникативные навыки учеников, развивать сообразительность, языковую догадку, культуру речи, умение планировать свой речевой поступок.

Воспитательные задачи: воспитывать любовь к животным, к природе, к прекрасному, воспитывать морально-этические нормы поведения.

Оборудование: письмо от Санта Клауса, карта Британских островов, мешочек с игрушками, новогодняя елка, шарики, записи песен, конфети-снежинки, картинки времен года, подарки, новогодние плакаты.

Mary Poppins: Thank you. Nice to meet you… I’m so glad to meet you. Children, tell me, please what season can you see in each picture? What season is it now? What is your favourite winter holiday? Glad to see you at our New Year’s Party. Now look at the New Year’s Tree. It is beautiful. It is high time for Santa Claus to come to our party. What has happened? Where is Santa Claus? Look here! What a nice bird!
Carrier pigeon: Good afternoon, children! Good afternoon, Mary! I am a carrier pigeon. I have a letter from Santa Claus. Let’s read the letter.

Pupils: Главное действующее лицо рождества, это, конечно, Санта-Клаус. Санта Клаус - толстый веселый старичок, который разносит подарки, стал неотъемлемой частью празднования Рождества по всему миру. У него обязательно белая борода, красная курточка, штаны и шапка с белым мехом. Он разъезжает на запряженных северными оленями санях, наполненных доверху подарками. Он проникает в дома через дымоход и оставляет подарки под елкой или в специальном носочке, но только послушным детям.
(Появляются зайцы и танцуют)
